We’re super proud to announce that this year our first Apprentice, Tommy was nominated for Lloyds SME Apprentice of the year award!

Despite not taking the top spot, Tommy has done extremely well to receive this nomination in a fiercely competitive category.

The award focuses on how apprentices have brought value to SME’s, by supporting productivity and growth within the company. In Tommy’s case this was easy to answer, as his attitude and eagerness to learn throughout his Apprenticeship so far has helped increase our productivity and growth.

As an apprentice now in his 2nd year, Tommy has seen dimensional and visual inspection processes, setting and operating CNC milling machines on 3, 4 + 5 axis work, as well as involvement in automation and hand finishing.

Being a family owned precision engineering business we have the ability to offer a huge variety of training and development opportunities. This means the Engineering Apprenticeship carried out in conjunction with Oxfordshire Advanced Skills is ideally suited to us.

Well done Tommy – a role model leading the way in the future of Britain’s engineering!

Thank you to Lloyds Banking Group and Oxfordshire Advanced Skills for their support!
