Apprenticeship Scheme
Since 2021 Presto has run an Apprenticeship Scheme in line with Oxfordshire Advanced Skills (OAS) at Culham, Oxfordshire.
All Appprentice’s undertake a 3 year apprenticeship to achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineeering, whilst completing a mixture of training on the job and theoretical at OAS.
Our Apprenticeship Scheme is invaluable to us as it’s vital we bridge the engineering skills gap in the UK to help the future of British manufacturing. Whilst the next generation of UK engineers is emerging, Presto benefits from the ability to utilise this talent in developing our skills pool and remaining competitive in the subcontract CNC machining market.
As Presto is an SME we benefit from support in the first year by Lloyds Banking Group towards salary costs of new Apprentices.
